Well, off the top of my head I don't know how much an oil pan runs, but I know it is like a $35 dollar gasket. Figure $150 of that price is for parts, the rest is labor.

And... They are right, its a tough job. You need to unbolt the engine to get enough clearance between the oil pan and the Kmember to get the damn thing outa there. Its not an easy job.

f'in dealer is charging me the above price .. i should 've looked around BEFORE i said yes. i found monroe would do it for about 550.. i am in the hole big time now ... I called the dealer back like half an hour after i told him to put the new oil pan on ,to tell em to not do anything and he's like oh he already has the old one out and it's gonna cost me bout 500 in labor by the time he puts the old busted one back on ..frikkin liers .. i hate dealerships .. i've been so good to em since i bought my car .. all my oil changes over there .. screw em...... look for some stuff on the FOR SALE section soon

Crap! I just replied in your old post about "hitting the sign post". Yeah, dealerships blow unless the car is still under warranty! They charge astronomical prices for their parts. Although they are new from the dealer, you would be better off finding a junkyard to get your parts from about 90% to of the time.

What are you gonna be selling? Is the price that much where you cannot afford it? If so, just look on ebay for some stuff. It's out there, you just have to look around a bit.
