Why not just fill up with chevron gas instead? Snap on's feild techs report good findings when running a few tanks fulls of chevron gas (which contains techron). It's like cleaning your fuel system with every mile you drive.

Now, there isn't a whole lot that can hapen with in tank cleaners. If you can find it go and buy a can of "44K" which is put out by BG products. It's inductrial so you need to find a shop that uses it and buy it from them. it's very, very very good stuff. It's the best that I have ever used in my 5 years as an auto tech and the only cleaner that I will run in my car.

Beyond that if you really want it done right you need to take it to a shop and have the rail cleaned with a motor vac or similar mechine. I took the fuel rail out of a dodge that had 5 of 6 injectors comepealtly stoped up (car sat a while). what we did was hook the motor vac up to it and pressureised the rail. Then we aplyed power an ground to each injector. Within 5 mins the inlectors were like new. The motor vac uses a de carbon cleaner from snap on that cost 150 bucks a quarts. Trust me. if you want your injectors clean this is what you want to do.

I ran cheep gas for a long long time. For the past 6 months now I have been running nothing but chevron. I have noticed incressed throttle resonce, more milage and an over all smoother power band. I would highly recomend filling up with it at least a few times a month. It works rather well even with the missfire that I have at the moment

Because it doesn't have a very high concentration in there. In 87 and 89, it's just a little bit in there and only slightly prevents build up, but not remove anything. 91 has the most concentration, but again, just slows down the build up. That is why they have the bottle concentrate.

I tried the Restore Engine oil additive and it's kinda iffy. Smoother initially, but don't really feel much, if anything, afterwards.

no, it removes impurites as well as prevents them. If you want a highly concentrated carbon removing agent then spent 150 bucks and dump a quart of snap on's solvent for there motor vac maching in your tank. Other wise you don't want a highly concentrated solvent. Why? several reasons. Preignition from the burning solvent, large peices of carbon breaking up and lanting in the valve seats, contamination of the exhaust system, catylest andespecialy 02's. You wan't to slowly remove and burn the depostits. Or like I said, get a full stsyem motor vac or similar flush done..
