    battery died 2nite well wut i thought was battery, went and bought new battery, installed it got old one tested. Yupp it was dead 8.12 volts lol, neways, i have a 96 camaro 3.8 and as soon as i got back in the car i started it up and the battery guage still was reading in the red *approx 10* volts (1st red line)*. just tryin 2 figure out if the alternators going bad or is bad and if there is ne other suggestions. P.S. also have one 1220 watt sub, and 240 watt amp. These were not on at the time when the car was started though

    have autozone run a charging system test.. but a bad alt will drain and destory a batery.. and vice versa.

      A capacitor to handle your amps and take the load off the charging system wouldn't be a bad idea either.
