  • Engine Bogs After shifting??? need help!

It started after i put the functional ram air on my car 2 days ago.So what happens is that when i go WOT the car is normal upto 6000rpms and then at the 1-2 shift the engine bogs, chokes out. It will also do the same thing at the 2-3 shift. I thought that since i have more air flow to the TB that the fuel isnt there to compinsate. So I thought it was the fuel filter due to the fact that it has never been changed and the car has 73k on it. So i changed it to day,But I still have the same problem and it was not the fuel filter. So now Im thinking that the car is running lean and at the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts the is where there is no fuel. So I was wondering if that could be the problem or is it something else. If this is the problem then is there a way to richen up the engine.
    Thanks in advance,
    Brandon

      automatic or manual?

If its an automatic, I bet your hitting the rev limiter on the 1-2 shift.

Also, this is more of a general tech question so I'm moving it there.

I know its not the rev limiter. Ive hit that before and this never happened.
My dad said that it could be the fuel pump??Im not sure, this is the area of cars that i have to learn more about.
        Thanks for the info.
