Hey guys....
Since I bought my 95 Camaro a year and a half ago...whenever I accelerate hard I can hear a weird noise. Nothing feels like it's hurting performance wise....but I just wanna know what the sound is. Im' running a stock intake...but it sounds like air is coming in or leaking out of something...and makes sorta a fluttering sound...really hard to describe. Not sure what a vacuum leak is or how to tell if one of my hoses are leaking. Any suggestions to find out how to pinpoint where this is coming from.
Thanks,
Robert O.

is it a hissing noise?

Pretty much only when you sort of cruise at a speed? Or accelerate reall slowly?

tht might just be the intake.

for vacum leak look at the throttle body, then move directly back and you will find a plastic t-fitting hooked up to the upper intake Plenum. I think that is wear most of the vacuum leaks are on 3.4L. form there you can track all the lines attached to that. Thats oging to be the vacuum line systme.

to see if maybe a leak is forming in a vacuum line or fitting but you cannot see it, get a cigarette or something else that will make some smoke and get the smoke near the vacuum lines, it shoudl get sucked in where there is a leak.

Lastly do you have a very high idle? If you do that could be an intake or throttle body leak.

Could be all this or nothin at all
