  • Rear Defrost not working

I have a 97 rs vert. It seems that my rear defroster isn't working anymore. The light lights up on the button, but the moisture on the window in the cold mornings don't go away til the whole inside heats up. Any suggestions. The 2 tabs are both hooked up on the window. Anyway of testing them to see if they're working or not.

Sometimes tint hampers their effectiveness. I have tint on my back glass and only like 1/2 of the defroster things work. They all worked fine before.

I have this happening on my sunfire(96) right now...(daily driver).

We tested the switch and the connectors at the back... ground everything! Everything seems to work, except there's no heat. It gets 12vdc power back there and there's continuity between the two connectors... but no heat :(

If you figure this out, please post it! :D

run the multimeter on each line of teh defrost elements. Some may have continuity, others may not. For those that don't, find the break in circuit, & get repair kit to fix. Autoparts store or JC whitney has it.
