Yeah LordofBling I admit, I have some redneck tendencies... but I think we all do, I mean we all own camaros afterall...

btw sorry don't own a trailer, never have but a townhome being built for me with a 2 car garage is looking to be finished in May maybe, similar townhomes in the area, have already jumped ~$30,000-35,000 in value, since the time we signed the papers, gotta love Orlando are real estate....

Gotta admit though, that camaro looks shiny while its towing that trailer :D

btw, back to old sick sixx ways... making photochops, and I am willing to bet $1 that you guys started a thread about it on your board.

Didn't we agree to stay away from each other?

This guy just answered your question. We don't have a full frame under the body, nor any sports car. When you tow a boat with a REAL truck, they have a full ladder frame and the hitch is connected to this frame. And out tires are not made for heavy loads. That is another reason why truck tires are taller. </font>
ok thats a good explanation. ITs the rest of the car OUr drivetrains are nearly identical to s-series, thats why I was taking
"your tranny can't take it", "your diff can't take it" Granted the 3.8L wasn't in any s-series I know of, but the power outputs for most years in the s-series trucks was less then the 3.8L, and our trannies, and diffs are nearly identical.

That and I have seen 4th gens with tail hitches, though mighty ugly I assume you could tow at least something with it.

I wouldnt reccomend towing with your Fbody at all, buy a truck.

Re: How much can we tow with a 3.8L

4l60e trans is what they use in my dad's 95 z71 silverado with a 5.7L v8 and my mom's lumina mini van towed kawisaki mule 90 miles one way for weekend up north and we sold that FWD with original engine & trans at 200,000 miles. Just was hard to find gears worked freat otherwise. Mules I believe are pushing 2,000 lbs. Be carfull and maybe do free cooling fan mod and trans cooler. I used the fog light switch and wrote TOW on it. Fan's never went on high as of today they do.
