ok... i want a better cooling system. obviously, everyone knows why a cooler running engine is better for power i assume. its common sense right, so with that said, im either going to choose between SLP's $200 radiator or Be Cool's $650 radiator. all i can find out is that SLP's radiator has 50% more capacity, but Be Cool guarantees to keep your engine running 20* cooler. so which one should i choose? my car usually runs at about 200* after about 5 min of driving. all i have is a 180* thermostat, and will change that out to a 160* and also get the fan switch mod. info please

APparently the Be Cool is not as sought after as thought ... and I don't know too much about sLP's high-cap version. Head over to LS1.com, and in their forums section, under Autocross and Road racing, there has been a long debate about radiators that lead to Lou at LG Motorsports making a custom one. If anything, snag that.

edit: you really shouldn't need more than the 160 and the fan switch.

I think a 160 thermo, fan switch should be fine.
There are a few more things you can do to keep the car cool.. remove teh AC stuff in front of the radiator, remove the rubber insulator between teh hood and the cowl.
also, this goes in general. moving it there.Keith - Chicago<br /><a href=\"http://www.hptuners.com\" target=\"_blank\">HP Tuners - PCM Reprogramming</a><br /><a href=\"http://www.dxsoftware.com/magnus/\" target=\"_blank\">97 Firebird V6 to LS1 swap</a><br /><b>V8 9.967@132.78</b> 1.322 60\' NA Heads/Cam<br /><b>V8 10.295@128.48</b> 1.363 60\' NA Cam Only<br /><b>V8 10.987@119.31</b> 1.422 60\' NA Stock Internals<br /><b>V6 13.674@98.22</b> NA<br /><b>V6 12.394@104.91</b> N20 100HP

I have the 160* thermostat and the manual fan switch and my car runs extremly cool. I am in arizona where it has been 100* my car rarley gets over 180*. I would say the thermostat was the best mod i did yet because now I have the power all the time. my car lost alot of power when it would heat up. save the money from the radiator and bye something that will give you more power.
