does the 4.3L v6 engine oil filter really work better on our cars then the ones they make specifically for the 3.8s? i hear of people using them all the time and would like to know if these filters are better for the car or if they can actually hurt the car??? because i figure the more miles the car gets on it (65k) the cleaner the oil would definetely help. thx a lot in advance.

I have used the PF-52 sized oil filter in a PureOne variety, whatever that number is, I don't remember off the top of my head, for a couple of years. Hey they all cost the same regardless of size. But having a larger filter does allow better oil flow from since there is less restriction and as the oil would have a larger barrier to pass through and the pressure drop across the filter would be less, which wouldn't push as many particulates through and possibly filtering better.Jared W.
