AFAIK, the waterpump has a "weep hole" in it which leaks if a seal in the pump has failed.

Get a coolant system pressure check. that will tell you if you have a blown head gasket

I got same thing. My car is drinking coolant.(~1 liter in 3month) No leaks. No overheating. No missfire, doesnot run rough. White smoke - couldnt tell, I even smell today my dads car and mine smells same for me Had oil change - clean. My friend said since the oil pressure is 100 times higher than coolant, the oil will go to the radiaror not other way around. I took the radiator cup off and it was covered with yellowish grease/cr*p.Same as walls of my radiator.
p.s. my oil level runs to the low mark every 3000miles.

Yeah, from what you say, you don't have a head gasket blown. I bought mine for car for 1K, and that was the reason it was only 1K, I'll end up paying about 500 to get it fixed overall, after towing, parts, and labor.

If you have a head gasket blown, you'll burn the coolant like you've drilled a hole in the lines, you'll be able to smell it, it smells sweet, and you'll put out a lot of steam when you start it up. The temp will raise quickly from just idle.

Yeah you don't want to do it with your car already hot though.

no it wont...it will just rise and overflow possibly/eventually. What you want to look for is pockets of air bubbles coming up...the odd random one is usually ok...what you dont want is a steady flow of them...
