Hi i got a hypertech 160 thermo from autozone. My father was saying i should have got a gasket with it. Is he right? this is for a 3.4.

better just spend a few bucks and get a new one and scrap the old one off. Your old one has been in there for a long time. They have them right at autozone for it.Comment

The heat will not be affected. We're talking 160 degrees, thats plenty hot enough to run the heat and you won't notice the difference.
