There's a way to flush the tranny yourself, it's just time consuming and expensive.
It all depends on how much ATF you're willing to buy.
1) drain your tranny pan. Having a trans pan plug is invaluable for this.
2) refill the tranny pan.
3) run the engine until the fluid is warm.
4) drain, refil.
5) run engine again for a few minutes, shifting from park to reverse, to drive and back.
6) drain pan
7) repeat steps until you've put about 20-30 quarts through the transmission.
Good luck finding a place to dispose of 20-30 quarts of atf for you, though. Even better luck finding a way to store all of it until you can dispose of it too.. a couple of gallon milk jugs will be good to have around for this.
