Okay I bought some pep poys tires. Before they were installed I had no problems as for driving conditions or any sort of wheel alignment. That some day that the tires were installed, and i felt different because they were new tires. The problem is when I go above 50mph with these tires the car wants to go left or right badly like i needed wheel alignment. I went back to pep boys mentioned the problem, but they said I needed wheel alignment. I thought to myself and it did not make sense. Before the tires where installed I did not have this problem!!!! So I had ask them to weigh them if that was the problem. They weigh them and they said the tires were fine. "HAAAAA you bastard!!!" I thought to myself. I need help all opinions are welcome

Alignment has nothing to do with the tires really. Balancing is what they probably did. That will make the tires not vibrate at high speeds. Alignment has to do with your suspension and steering rack.<a href=\"http://www.onid.orst.edu/~waltejam/\" target=\"_blank\">98 Bright Red Camaro</a><br />Too many mods to list....check my website

When I buy a set of new tires, I always get my car aligned. Why don't you see if they would refund the money for an alignment if it doesn't solve the problem.
But it reminds me of why I continue to deal with the same "mom and pop" tire shop over and over. Even though I pay a little more, I know I'm going to be satisfied with the work, and I can be sure they're not screwing me over with unnecessary work.\'00 f-bird 3.8 M5 coupe, pewter metallic<br />Torsen LSD, Pro 5.0 shifter, Spec stage 1 clutch, Y87 muffler, aftermarket stereo<br />-more fun than the Oldsmobile it replaced...

Ok I hate to say this cause I don't really like PEP Boys either but they might be correct you might need an alignment. It is possable the the reason the you never had a problem before you changed the tires is that the tires were worn into the alignment problem that you already had and the new tires have an even amount of tread on them so they are a true guage of your alignment trouble. hope that that makes sense. Good luck.Remember that sometimes, silence is the best answer.<br />Warren White<br />1996 PoloGreen Coup <a href=\"http://vampyr.settanni.net/\" target=\"_blank\">http://vampyr.settanni.net/</a> <br />\"Jealousy\"<br /> CTFBA member of the month Sept 03

If it didnt start pulling untill you put the tires on the car, then you could have a radial pull in one of your new tires. This CAN happen to ne tires. What happens, is the radial belts inside the tire get misaligned, and pull the car to one direction. Example: If the bad tire is on the right side, it will pull right. Tell them to criss cross just the front tires, and see if it pulls the opposite direction, if it does, they owe you a brand new tire. ;) Good luck. ;)Jordan<br />15.09@90.7<br /><a href=\"http://www.fullthrottlev6.com/forums/vbgarage.php?do=view&id=21\" target=\"_blank\"><b>1995 Camaro 3.4 M5</b></a>

Every time you change tires, you need to also balance them and do an alignment. What you mention doesn't seem to fit with a balance or alignment problem. The way you described it, your car seems twitchy. Did you go from 235 to 245 tires? Have you checked the air pressure in them?? Most of the time when shops put tires on they put 40 psi in them.1999 Pewter Camaro M5<br />Y87 Performance Package, Sport Appearance Package, Diamond Clears<br />Factory SS Hood, Free Ram Air Mod, Whisper Lid w/ K&N Air Filter<br />CarSound Cat 94009, B&B Tri-Flo w/ Quad Tips<br />BMR SFC, BMR STB, KVR Blank Rotors, Hawk HPS Pads<br />Black Painted Calipers w/ CAMARO Decal, 245/50 Dunlop SP Sport 5000<br />20% Rear 35% Side Tint, Red Reflective Inlays, Invincishield<br /><b>Young girls avert their eyes, weak men tremble, Ford dealers faint.</b>

Then thoes shops are stupid. They should set the tire pressure to the manafactures spec MOST tires shouldnt need more that 32 psi unless it is a larger vehical that would require 35 psi. Any shop that would put 40 psi in a tire is only causing premature tire wear. And Camaros require 30 psi.

Our cars do require 30psi per the factory. Have you seen what 30 psi does to front tires, especially if you are a spirited driver? If you run high speeds, run 35 all the way around. In my opinion, I run 35 front and 28 in the rear, unless I know I will be driving at high speeds (over 80) then I run 35 and 35. When I do my runs of 120, I will run 40 and 40. Downforce tends to make the car very loose at that high of speed with 30 psi. Even with my 285/40R17 tires though. And for the pulling problem, first check the air pressures to ensure they are equal, if so, have them rebalnaced then check for pull. Out of balance will cause a slight pull to teh unbalanced side. If it still does, then you have radial pull. When was the last time you saw a V-6 Mustang sit and smoke both 285mm Tires?
