DIS-4 = distributorless ignition

Not to be an ***, but could someone explain to me how the 3.4 ignition is so much worse than a 3800's? We have the same coil packs do we not? At least the aftermarket packs work for both motors.Originally posted by White95:

Is it the way the motor even fires (I thought was more efficient anyway)? How can the 3.4's ignition suck that bad...I've heard the DIS4 works great for the 3800 as well, yet I've also heard it does nothing for some people. If I went N20 or boost, I'd definitely get it, but for bolt ons, i would not go into MSD yet. I think you can gap your plugs at .60 and be ok even.
