I just bought seafoam and it says to pour 1/3 pint into the brake booster line while the engine is running. then it says to turn off the car for 5 min and then start it back up. My question is, do I keep the brake booster line disconnected or do I just connect it after I pour the seafoam in it?
What do I have to do to disconnect the line? I thought I would just have to loosen the clamp and pull it off, but that didn't work. What do I have to do?
Pull the clamp back off where it connects. Then you'll have to use a tool to break the line free. Those lines get stuck over time, so you have to break it free from the brake booster. Use a screwdriver or something and carefully pry the end of the tube open a little.
Then come back and tell us if your car smoked like hell !

Boy I wished I could seafoam mine but I know that if I was to do it my dad would probably have a fit about what on earth I was doing to my car, especially when it started smoking lol. Is there anything else you can use instead of seafoam. Ive heard that back in the day, auto tranny fluid was used, is this true?

Haha, that was A LOT OF FUN!!! when i first started pouring it my engine started surging like crazy and smoke was coming out of my exhaust manifolds. my car looked like it was smoking a big *** cigar. Too bad it was windy today...because it didn't stay long, but it was fun while it did!
I think I'm going to have to do this to my '92 Nissan Stanza which has 170,000 miles on it.
Oh man that things gonna smoke!!!

Hey everyone! I've been trying to remove my transmission for two days now! I need to replace the clutch. Only thing I've got left holding the transmission...
Hello, so I changed the front bearings on the bird and the ABS inoperative light came on. I made a mistake of not removing negative battery cable. Now...
I usually have to double, triple my headlight switch for them to come up on my 97 Firebird. I cleaned all connections. Could it be the headlight switch...
