I have a 96 Firebird, and to change plugs and wires I had to go from the bottom and the top and it took me 8 hours! Of course, when the wires rip off of the plug boots and you have to fish around to get them off the plugs, what do you expect. Now if i could break my arm about halfway between my elbow and wrist it would have been easy.

Is it hard (or possible) to change plug wire without a jack?

hehe
-93-95 3.4L v6s... its easy...(took me about 30 minute)
-95-99 3.8L v6s with the lincoln log exhaust manifold HARD, likely have to change them from under the motor.(never dumb enough to try, and never owned one)
-00-02 3.8L v6s, have tubular manifolds(look like shorty headers) pretty easy...(took me 45 minutes total including putting heat sleeving on the wires and boots)
I believe 99 had lincoln logs and 00+ had tubular.
