I just wanted to let everyone know how bad this place is. I ordered a custom PCM from them and they never sent it! Everytime I call to see what was going on I got a different excuse - everything from they are having trouble programming it to they didn't have my correct address and the PCM was returned to them. It's been a MONTH now and I still didn't get anything from them and now they don't even return my calls. I cancelled my credit card charge and put in a dispute and got my money back. **** them. Worst company EVER.

All this being said, who else can do custom programming on a 1999 v6 Camaro? Any other companies that know what they're doing?

Just curious what you need custom programming for?

I have 3.73 ratio rear end gears and have a done-up exhaust w/headers, etc... I just wanted them to fix the speedometer and also calibrate it for 17" rims for later and also change the timing, etc .. It should be the simplest thing to do for them.

If I remember correctly, ZZP contracts out the work for reprogramming PCMs. Also I think they're the only ones that reprogram our PCMs.

But they don't!! The guy was like there is no program to re-do a '99 pcm and they have to do it manually. The contractor they use is some guy Dave who does this on the side. It's not like they contract out to a real company. Just some random guy.

So what are the alternatives? Will GM be able to do this? Can they at least replace a PCM to a different year so a Hypertech could work? There has to be SOMETHING people can't drive around with their speedos not working it's kind of illegal not to mention a little stupid.

GM never intended for you to you to make changes to your car. If you decide to change gears or something, that's not their problem. Why should they have to do anything to help? If it's that illegal and stupid, why do it in the first place? That being said, I hope you can find a way to fix it.

But people modify their cars all the time. And there are companies that do this stuff you can get a repgram done for a z28 anywhere. Hell you can reprogram a v6 too but why not the '99 model specifically? Is there like some conspiracy against them?

why is it illegal and stupid?

your post makes 0 sense to me.

i see GM not doing the mods, but it is no where near "illegal" and stupid is in the eye of the beholder.

Hypertech makes a HPP3 that will recalibrate your speedo for gear and tire changes for the 99-02 v6 f-body

ive done buisness with zzp and they are a good company

i also know in the last month they have been veerrry busy with other stuff (getting there car ready for IDD4 where it set a record for the m90 supercharger, after swaping in a new engin 2 days before)

besides them having other **** to do THEY DO NOT DO THE PROGRAMING

A guy by the name of dave buckshaw (if i remeber right) does it and honestly i doubt he has ever done a 99 camaro/firebird pcm so im sure he was probably working on it

                          you should have called before
Think about it who on here has a car running with a reprogramed pcm that works the way its supposed to ummm none

did you even try asking for your money back i bet not you just put a claim in

                          cry me a river
