  • power-steering fluid/brake fluid interchangable?(i cant read)

I was checking everything on my 93dakota and camaro today and times like this is why ive got two vehicles.

My powersteering in my camaro was about four inches low!(put a v8 rack in, lines arnt tight) So i grab a bottle of powersteering fluid and fill it up and then notice i just put half a quart of BRAKE FLUID in my pump. I used to use tranny fluid in my 77 newport's pump, is brake fluid ok in or should i drain the dang thing? I dont suppose they make a brake fluid additive to change it into p/s fluid. If anyone is a brake fluid expert and has a sec it would be appreciated.

    Erik

Thanks, I didnt run it through though i was pretty tempted. It's going to have to sit in there for half a day before i get a sec to drain it.

I would take a turkey baster or similer and suck it outa there and then flush it well.
