  • Water pump fins GONE??? What the

This isnt a camaro, but is a chevy; my friend has a 1995 chevy s10 4cyl and was having heating problems. he flushed and repaired the radiator got a new heater core and replaced the thermo and it was still messing up and not giving enough heat. then while it idled it would get pretty warm but as soon as you revved it up the temp would drop drastically. I told him it was problably the water pump and when he pulled the old one off OMG OMG OMG the fins were desinigrated. he is replacing it right now, but what the crap!!

not electralasis is it?? should he have a zinc plate in there or something, dang.

has anyone else had their waterpump get eaten.

It's not dexcool. It's contamination that can happen in any vehicle. 3.8 Fords especialy in the aerostars do this a lot. It's a sign that the cooling system was not taken care of very well.
