  • Direct Hits Ignition upgrade

Here is an easy modification for your 3.8 ignition -

The DirectHits Ignition replaces your stock plugs and wires with a high-voltage ignition system. The high energy-density spark system produces a flame kernel and flame front that propagates more quickly and completely through the fuel charge. This increases throttle response, acceleration, fuel efficiency and reduces emissions. Long-term benefits include reduced carbon buildup in the combustion chamber and extended service periods. This Electrical Power product improves the transfer efficiency of your ignition system. Its patented technology raises the level of efficiency over 500 times. Upgrade to improve fuel economy and performance and provide cleaner combustion -- all due to increased high current discharge at the instant of ignition.

    Each kit includes
DirectHits current peaking capacitors - 1 for each cylinder
    High energy 8mm wire set

Premium non-resistor sparkplugs ( Bosch/Accel/NGK depending on the application)

Installation tool (plastic 3/4' 12 point 1/4' drive socket to install the DirectHits properly to 12 inch/lbs of torque)

Dielectric grease for all electrical connections

    Installation instructions

We'll be installing this system in our C5 along with a few other vehicles here. I'll post results when I have them.

you say bosch/accel/ngk plugs depending on application. which would be used on our cars and would we be able to specify the gapping if we were to buy from you?

The 3.8 system uses Bosch plugs that are ready to be gapped. Some more 3.8 kits will be arriving here next week.

It doesn't look like anyone on the site is using this kit so we will offer a 50% discount for the first person that is interested (price would be $100.). We'll just want you to post your impressions of the kit after the install and after using it for awhile.

Just post on here if interested.

I would like to see a dyno test on this kit, I do not believe it will increase power in anyway. I have my reasons, if you'd like to hear them drop me an email =).

          Goodluck to those testers!

Spark plugs don't really make a lot of power by themselves anyway, but are a necessity to light off denser air/fuel mixtures. I may be willing to be a guinnea pig. let me think it over though.

This system can be used on a nitrous or supercharged car. I'll put putting one on our supercharged 8.1 Suburban next week.
