  • Need Help ASAP!!

My car is in the shop, they ran diagnostics on it and came to the conclusion that there is water in the circuitry of the throttle body and told me that the entire throttle body needs to be replaced. I already have to pay $70 for the diagnostics and they want another $570.42 to replace the throttle body. Im looking for options. Is this hard to replace and what am I looking at price wise for the part. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I need some feedback today so I can tell the shop something. Thanks.

Yah, but you forgot about Labor Costs... a 2 hour job adds another $160 or so plus taxes. So if you're looking at it that way, then the price is reasonable.

Welcome to the world of taking care of your car. I just put down $750 to fix my Rear Main Seal, Oil Pan Gasket, and Rear Cover Gasket

check the for sale section, people seem to be parting out engines all the time. I got the upper/lower intake manifolds and the TB for my 3.4L for like $60

If that's just for the throttle body, you would be getting ripped off bad, I can get a throttle body off and back on myself, and I have don't have much of any experience with working on cars.
