  • Who Has Removed there Speed Limiter?

How fast have you gone without it?

I think It was a SC GTP did 155mph.

    I wonder what's the limit on a 3.8?

This also makes me wonder about the LT1 & LS1
Can they go faster than 160mph?

Mine is removed. I maxed the speedo out, and my rpm gauge keep moving. I'm guessing i was doing around 135(I could have went a lot faster, but I ran out of straight away. :D ) If I'm not mistaking, someone posted how fast a 3.8 could go several months ago. I think they said like 148. But, it would depend on your gear ratio, car setup all around, and type of weather and road you are on(up hill, down hill, etc etc). As for the LT1 and LS1, yeap they can go faster than 160mph. ;)

I believe under flat good conditions with a relatively stock engine and good intake/exhaust, 3.42 gears in an A4 or 3.23s in a M5, 137-142mph is about all you'll get.

Since I'm relatively new at all this, how do you go about removing your speed limiter?

yea but they got that 148 on a dyno where wind resistence was not a factor.

ball park guesstamating, I would think maybe 130mph, My car feels really strong when I hit the top speed limiter so I know it has much more than 118mph.
