I was wondering about this... Say you have a bad O2 sensor that you dont want to replace. Theoretically, couldnt you just tap into another one, you know, maybe splice the wires together or something. The computer would be getting a signal from the good one for both.
Think it would work?

"Theoretically" LOL It sounds like a good idea... i guess it should work. Try it. I have 4 good o2 sensers, they are used with 105k on them, i changed them, but they are all working. Ill sell you all of them for real cheap if you want.

maybe if it were 2 in the same relative position. Like maybe 2 before the cat or something. But you would not be able to do this if it were the one before the cat and the one after that you were trying to splice together.

When I replaced my manifold sensors, I know noticed an immediate improvement. Better idle, more power, overall a better running engine. I say just replace them. I found mine on ebay, 20 bucks a piece.

you may short somethine out. Also, the input voltage may double, or the amperage may double and fry your o2 sensor. be careful.

later,
