  • Idle at start...

    when i first start up the car anytime of the day..It idles fine but has been fluctuating up and down surging (just alittle) untill i give it some gass and start moving then it stops for the rest of the time.. only at fire does this happen..What could this be? All plugs and wires are brand new and fuel filter...??

    if you havn't touch you fule filter i would start there, it only about 11bucks and easy to do

      Could also be your IAC or TPS, those will cause idling problems like surging.

        could some one post directions, (pref with pics of location of components) or a link with the intructions plz. thanx.

          Try your IAC. it's on the throttle body. Black and kinda round, held on by 2 T20 torx screws and has a 4 wire connector. pull it out and get a new one and clean the passageway with car cleaner.

            Sorry, i was referring to the instructions for Fuel Filter.

                      or it could be vacume line i had that problem(dumb people thought i had a cam)

                        i don't think my 1997 has one, it was just hole that goes past the TB plate and in to the upper intake......
                        any only thing on the TB is the TPS that i could find and the MAF
