My mechanic told me to buy something made by K & N that fits over the oil inlet, but he said it was not the K&N oil filter. I did a search on K&N's website and the oil and air filter were the only parts listed?
He said it relieves the pressure or something? You just screw it on the top?
Oil Airator ... that's what my turbo was doing for a while.
He's referring to a Valve Cover Breater ... there are heavy debates as to whether they are good or bad for the 3.8's, but I can tell you that if you are running Forced Induction, you must add a valve cover breather, JB over the PCV hole in the TB, and slice an open-air opening in the PCV tract on the lower side of the TB (Both of these you can do when you take the TB off). Really a simple process, and the breather was like $10 or $15 or something. Check my turbo install thread about midway for the part number, I bought mine at Pep Boys, Spectre Brand. Very satisfied.
A VALVE BREATHER IS A MUST! YOU WILL HAVE SERIOUS PROBLEMS WITHOUT.

I think they are trying to say you need to cut a hole in the PCV.
