So yea I was going to put my new rims on yesterday but coulden't get them locked on so I put the stocker back on. Only did one wheel, when I started it up this morning I get SES light and it hasn't gone off yet. How the hell do you set off a SES from changing a tire!? If it's still on Monday I'm gonna take it somewhere to have the code read, who reads car codes? Autozone?

I was just thinking when I put on my SS spoiler the guy mentioned on his car he had to put on a resistor otherwise it would set off a SES, he hooked it up and it didn't but I did open the hatch to get the tire iron and what not perhaps that somehow is related?1997 Camaro v6 3.8
Bone Stock, just a little slower then most station wagons.
**Either the slowest SS or the prettiest v6**

It came on again yesterday I got it scanned P1441, some auxilary emissions controls. Supposed to go away when I replace EGR and whatever else as part of 75k maintaince.

I don't have a location.. but follow the lines from the charcol canister up to the mmotor. You should see a small black silinoid with a red 2 wire connector and 2 vacuum lines on it. Make sure that one line goes to the intake and one goes to the canister. also look where the vac port is, one should say "can" make sure thats the one heading to the casister. If all that checks out remove the selinoid and tap it on a white towel with teh vac ports down and see if any fine charcol particles come out.. If they don't then replace that selinoid.1996 Silver camaro Z28. The ses light wouldn't come on for a changed tire....but the abs light could come on if the tire wasn't exactly the same diameter as the others. The wheel speeds would be different and the abs would be going nuts....anyone wanna vouch for this? I've never seen it happen but in theory its right, right? haha.1994 Camaro: Firebird Interior, 3.4L to 3800 converted, OBD2 converted, A4 to M5 converted...In the turbo retirement home...

1994 Mustang GT: 347 Forged Stroker, Port Matched Edelbrock Heads and Intakes, Tremec 3550 T-5, Spec Stage 2

well i have found out if you have the two front tires go in different directions the ABS INOP light comes on. but NOT the SES light.
everytime I do an e-brake 360 or a nasty sliding 180 the ABS INOP light comes on and I then only have front brakes., but drive it for 15 minutes or reset your computer and your back to normal.96 Camaro 3.8 A4 Basemodel: 8 mm wires, Shift Kit, Hollowed
Cat(o2 sims), RKSport exhaust, IAT 5.6K resistor, Home Depot CAI
>>>15.375 @ 89.27<<<NEW BEST TIME http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/552491
