  • My 3.4 manual runs dead even with a 3.1 auto

    My 1994 camaro 3.4 gets smoked by just about every single import on the road with a 4cyl and an intake and aftermarket muffler.

    I recently raced my buddy with a 1994 olds cutlass supreme with a 3.1 auto. We stayed dead even all the way to 100. My car has some engine mods (cai,exhaust)and it runs 100%.

    I guess the 3.4 is just not up to par or the car is just way too heavy..... (man I need a v-8), but for now I just ordered nitrous. God I hope it helps, I hate seeing a domestic musclecar lose to an import. Anyone have any insight....

    i was running 16.5's when i was stock, and i don't think many 3.1 cutlass ciera's can do that, i can smoke my friends 3.1 cavalier z24, and many other 3.1's, i think it's just your car.

      I no I would think they would make the v6 camaro fast rather then other v6's like the hondas and they beat us!! DAM THEM

              My old 3.4 ran pretty slow too! That's why i bought the T/A! [img]graemlins/burnout.gif[/img]

                Your car obviously isn't running at 100%. Try doing a tune-up.
