• modified air deflector???

Does anyone know where to get a lower air deflector I think my wings west kit and the stock one don't mix on long drives at 75m.p.h for some reason my car hits a little before the red then drops down a couple of times then finally goes in the red till I slow down?????

Just follow the instructions on projecttransam.com to make your own manual fan switch for those long drives p

it's under $5 for the parts and takes about 20 minutes to do

I hate the wings west kit for that reason. A fans switch ain't gonna cut it. I previously hit something in the road and broke a piece of the airdam off so i had to buy another one but i still had the old one so i cut the ends off it and drilled about 6 holes through it and the main and attached it to the bottom of the new one so it hangs down another couple inches and solved the problem.

I forgot to tell you that you can order a new airdam from wings west that is huge and will work fine. I think it is like $40 bucks.

I hate my wings west body kit because the damn thing don't fit. I love the way the doubleback tape pull and make my car look like ****. But anyhow back to the air deflector. Wings west said you had to install there's or mine would over heat. Well, if you like to scoop up ever pebble on the road I would have left it on but I put the factory back on with no problems what so ever. Get under your car and make sure you didn't scoope up some sfoam or something It happened to me once.

thanks guys. The same thing happened to me kevin my Air dam broke from bottoming out on it I think I will buy the wings west one. It is cheap enough. Maybe raise the car up until summer
P.S. almost forgot I left the fans on the whole time by just leaving the AC running and still overheats.

FYI: The fans won't run (even with the A/C on) if the vehicle is moving over 34 MPH. ;)

xms, your doesn't overheat on the highway? When the airdeflector was off as soon as i hit 70 it started to climb fast and soon enough would be really hot. Might be the difference between the 93-97 kit and the 98+ kit.

How Much larger is the Wings West oversized air dam? I'd like to buy one even though I dont have a wings west kit - it'd give me more ait flow through the radiator/intake.

I have the factory air deflector on. The wings west one scrapes everthing I mean everthing. A pebble in the road a scrap, scrap. I hated that so I put the factory one back on. But no over heating nothing. The front the the air damn is open for the 98+ so I didn't see the point of using the wings west defector.

without the wingswest air dam the car will overheat if you go above 60mph,so its a good idea to put the wingswest air dam
