ok when i go to start it, it doesnt fire up right away, and then when it does, the tach/speedo flick up to 7grand and 90 mph, the temp gauge flicks past 260, and the fuel gauge goes down below empty, before they then come back up at different times. also the trip odometer resets every time. this wouldnt bother me that much, but sometimes the car is hard to start, and its never had that problem before. i took out my MAF screen 3 weeks ago, and this started last week, so i dont think its bc of that. any help would be appredciated

i'm almost 100% sure that it is either your battery or your alternator (or both).
the same thing happened to my car when my alternator was dying. I replaced the battery, but in a week the new battery was dead because of the alternator. Once I got the alternator replaced with a new one from the dealership and had the battery recharged, the car has worked fine.
i used to have an 86 dodge charger that did that one time and it was because the damn alternator was going out all the guages would go crazy and the car would take off rough and would start right. so check that if thats not then i would definatly take it in....
