Cigarette Lighter Socket promblem :(

hey guys just wondering if any of you guys have had a problem with the cigarette lighter socket. just bought a cd car kit and pluged in the 12v plug but nothing happens? i also bought a neon glow map light, and plugged i in as well but nothing :mad: any one else had similiar problem?

Check your fuse. If it's not the fuse, look at the back of the socket to make sure the wiring harness is still connected. More than likely though, it's a fuse.

so i have to open up fuses relay boxes inside the engine and check there?

no i think he means the fuse box inside your car, its just a simple cover(left side of your dash) you can pull off the follow the map. oh yah I think that the horn is on the same circuit, if thats true and the horn doesn't work then theirs your problem.

its a 25A plug, i just replaced mine. im an idiot and i didnt think abou this in the first place and i was about to take out my ciggarett lighter and replace the whole thing. good thing i thought about it afterwards! you should have a map on the back of the plastic panel of your fuses. if not let me know and ill map it for you
