running ur car w/o a filter in dusty conditions could do it.

running lean, the cat can get too h ot and start to break up, stuff like that.

i got the car back, and the cat was cracked, so it'll be another 3-5 days b4 they get it there.

hey, i had the same problem. i took it to the dealership and they told me that my O2 sensor, behind the cat, was reading that the exhaust wass traveling as fast behind the cat as it was though my headers. basically saying that my cat was empty. i gutted it partially when i put the headers on and i guess now its burned all the way through what was left of the cat. so now i have to buy an O2 sim. ill let you know if that fixes my problem.
