  • fuel gauge problem

    my fuel gauge is never right it stays full even after i put 150 miles on the tank... is this a prob with all camaros????

    it has to do with the way our fuel tanks are shaped.....

    your problem seems a little extreme however.

    I can go about 100 miles w/the needs right below Full.

    once you get 1/2 way the needle FLIES down to Empty

    that's just how it is

      i got 150 miles and it was just barely touching the F line.

      i had just done a tuneup also, and am getting 31mpg on the highway.

        yea that actually seems a little accurate

        do you live in a high elevation area?

          mine did that and I took it in because It was still covered. they replaced the bobber thingy in the tank and it fixed the problem. I have heard a lot of people having this problem. It seems to be a porly made product. Its a hit or miss if you replace the unit. Mine still lingers around F and goes down little by little. then when I get to about 1/4 tank it can drop to E in a 20 mile drive.
