  • Signal Light Blinker Problem

    Howdy yall!

So I was coming home tonight, went to turn in my driveway, and my left signal lights wont blink, I checked my right side, and they work perfect, I am guessing it may be the signal flasher under the knee bolster, and I can replace that no problem, but not today it is late and dark outside, so I though meanwhile I would ask you guys if you have any other ideas as to what the problem is, I thought if the flasher goes, neither side would flash, and all the bulbs work, or seem to, they jsut dont flash!

    Anyways, hope you can help

Thanks in advance, and sorry once again for rambling!

I have the same problem sometimes. The blinker will freeze and stop blinking.

My problem is usually solved by replacing blown bulbs or removing dirt/corrosion/moisture from the bulb sockets.

Yea exactly that just happened to me. My left side wouldnt flash. I just replaced the bulb and it works fine now. The light might look like its just fine when they headlights are on, but when just the running lights are on it goes bad. I'm pretty sure thats your prob.

its either the front or back light bulb. Try every possible light config to test the bulbs (brake pushed, turn sig, lights on) The left or right arrows in the car will not bink but will stay on if a bulb is blown or one of the two filaments(sp?) is blown.

You can get your blinker fluid at any parts store that carry muffler bearings for an 84 Corvette. Trust me on this.

I would get the bearings that came on the 83 Corvette. I've never heard of anyone needing to replace a muffler on an 83, so they must have been good bearings.

in my 94 firebird all i had to do was take the front tires off and take out 3 screws on the plastic protector, then you have full acsess to the light, i didn't feel like messing with the head lights :D
