Ok, Ive got a rattling thats progressively worsening. Its somewhere up front and sounds worse when I turn on the A/C. From what I understand its probably the heat shield comming loose. Only thing is I have NO idea where it is AND what to tighten and look for *doh*. So let a brotha know. Grats.

I have the same thing you are describing and it is the shield around the cat. (Large bulbus thing about mid line in your exhaust) I have not messed with mine as of yet but as far as I know the only way to fix it is to removeit or take it to a shop and have it rewelded. Hope that this helps.Remember that sometimes, silence is the best answer.
Warren White
1996 PoloGreen Coup http://vampyr.settanni.net/
\"Jealousy\"
CTFBA member of the month Sept 03

Simply look under your car and follow from the y-pipe all the way back to the muffler looking for a small aluminum sheet (heat shield) touching your exhaust components...or near your exhasut components. At that point, when you find it, take a pair of pliers and bend the part touching out of the way.- Josh
If you have any questions or need installation pics/help, e-mail me: Viper98885@aol.com
\'93 Camaro Hardtop
\'01 Lincoln LS8 Sport
\'00 Yamaha YZF-R6
Full Throttle Performance

Might be the perforated shield on the CAT too. That will also come off with a little work. I had this same problem on my '88 and '98.
