  • heater blower problem

    The motor when on makes a fast pace ticking noise at low and it is faster on higher settings. it drives me crazy in the car, i have to turn the music louder to compensate for it. i just wanna smash the whole dash to pieces :mad: i need some help if anyone has any suggestions Thanks.

    the motor should be easy to pull. it's either a bad motor or debris on the wheel. Lower right hand side of the dash. Usualy 7MM screws holding it in.

      the motor should be easy to pull. it's either a bad motor or debris on the wheel. Lower right hand side of the dash. Usualy 7MM screws holding it in.


      thanks for the well spoken advice, i sprayed 120psi of compressed air in all the ducts. a ton of crap blew out and i think it fixed it. no sounds anymore.

        you might still consider droping the motor out. a lot of dirt can attach to teh wheel itself.. not to mention that mice like to get in there.. and die. neadless to say it doesn't smell good once it's been in there for a few months.

          YUCK !!!!! I hate mice!!! Im like a little girl when it comes to them , if you told me there was one in the room I would be up on the table ! :eek:

          How the hell does a mouse get in there anyway ?

            trust me.. they will get everywhere in the car. I have pulled several from blower motor wheels in my life. They like it cause the motors warm.
