Tomorrow Im installing my 160 degree thermostat and wiring manual fan switch in. I was just wondering what gauge of wire should i use for the manual fan switch dont want to burn the wire up from to much current.

I used 22 and have had no problem. It doesn't have to be large, you can use 18 if you're worried about it.- White \'99 V6 Camaro (M5, 3.23s)
- 3\" Borla Exaust, RK Sport Induction Lid, Fast Toys Ram Air, K&N Air Filter, !Silencer, !MAF Screen, B&M Short shifter, Manual Fan Switch, 160° Hypertech Powerstat, BMR Boxed LCAs(rubber/poly), BMR STB
*My Cardomain Website*

im not much of an electrician, but when i made mine, i used the prettiest wire i could find at the cheapest price. no clue what gauge it is. i don't think alot of current goes through it to b honest. i've had no problems either though. and it always makes people think i've got some top secret supercharger if i turn the fans on 2 seconds b4 i start the engine or leave them on 2 seconds after i cut it

It will cool off your engine and a cooler engine should run a bit better. Let us know how you do. From the schematics I've seen posted online, there's not much current flowing through the wires since it only powers a relay. ;)Jason McCallister, Founder & Webmaster
West Tennessee F-Body Association, Inc.

2000 Camaro - Details
