When I did mine I found out the easiest way to do it is to take out the plate that the coil packs sit on. That way you can just swap them out and put the plate back in. When I put my MSD coils in, I also took a black permanent marker and wrote the numbers on the top like you see on the stockers.
But to answer your question, I think it's somewhere around a 6 or 6.5mm. It's been over a year since I did it.2000 3.8L Firebird, Silver Metallic

\"Yes, London. You know, fish, chips, cup o\' tea, bad food, worse weather, Mary f***in\' Poppins, London!!\"

Like FunkZ said,
if you're careful, you can use a standard, non-metric socket and get it. If you're not careful, you could round off the bolt head, but in my experience it isn't usually installed really tight.\'00 f-bird 3.8 M5 coupe, pewter metallic
Torsen LSD, Pro 5.0 shifter, Spec stage 1 clutch, Y87 muffler, aftermarket stereo
-more fun than the Oldsmobile it replaced...

if you can remove the whole braket to where you can actualy bring the coil packs to you and use vise grips to remove the bolts you can then replace the bolts once they are out.1996 Silver camaro Z28.
