The other day my drivers side window simply stopped working. I replaced the motor in it a few months ago and i'm pretty sure its not the motor. I've pulled off the door panel and everything seems to be connected properly. The passenger side works fine however. I'm not sure what to look for or do next? Thanks for the help
how ever much it may suck, it may have pooped out again. does these things have fuses? might also be the connector. if you can get you hands on a mulitmeter, you could test somethings
The power window fuse is fine. But its weird that it would just die, because the last time it went out it just got slower and slower until it died. This time it just stopped? Thanks for the help
yeah, i understand what you mean about going slower and slower. im wondering if its a bad switch. it seems unlikly cause your car isnt that old, but since you said everything looked good. thats all i can say without testing things with a multimeter
Unplug the motor connector. Turn the key on, you should have ground at both termonals at rest, then when you press up you should have hot on one side with ground on the other. Then press down and the other should go hot and the one that was just hot should turn to ground. See what your missing and I can tell you where to go next. If all that is fine the motor is shot (in which case wack on it a few times)
if you get no power on that side then check the window ciurcut breaker.. if thats good and voltage is coming out then there is a break in the wire, probably where the door wires are run near the hinges..
How about the Express Down module. If you look at the wiring diagram for the drivers window you'll notice that the window connections come from the switch via the Express Down module. If the module has gone bad, it may be causing connection problems to the motor.
you know it could still be the motor i replaced mine about 5 months ago and 2 weeks ago when i went to six flags i went to roll the window up and Nothing!!!
Like you said first time it when bad it started getting slow well mine just WENT!
It was the motor BTW.

Still trying to find oil leak on my Camaro, it’s a tough one. I think it is the oil pressure sender myself. Leaking when raving and going into boost....
