    Valvoline DuraBlend 10w30

I honestly do not see any point in putting synthetic (especially Mobil 1) into our cars. It just seems like a waste of money to me, especially when A: the 3800 will go 200k miles with dino oil and B: DuraBlend is half synthetic and costs half as much as regular synthetics.

I agree. I have been using QuakerState Synthetic Blend for a few years now and my car runs great with it.
Also, I use 10w40 in the summer, and 10w30 in the winter.

Redline 10W30, with an oil cooler, and remote oil filter (had to use it with the cooler). I drive 1100+ miles a week, most of that at 70+ mph on the freeway, so one, I believe the full synthetic will help out in the long run in terms of useful engine life, and two, I only need to change the filter and a quart every 6K miles, and the oil every 18K, which means that I'm changing the oil every three months, instead of every month. It works out about the same price wise (non-synthetic once a month compared to Redline every 3 months), but it saves me time.

                    I use Mobil 1 10w-30...

Reason? Easy...I do a lot of driving. I can push the intervals further with synthetic.
