Not the usual grinding gear problem. This was something different that I spent money to fix that I didn't need to. A while ago my pop up headlights didn't go up on the first flick of the switch, I had to turn them on, then off, then on again very quickly. Mechanic said it was probably the switch so I replaced the 100 switch. Still didn't work. So I just said f it. A couple weeks ago my abs and ebrake lights kept comming on, and I was told here to check my battery connections. That solved both problems at once. The connections were corroded and dirty causing the headlight and abs/ebrake light problems. Both fixed for free. So really this is just an fyi post so no one else spends 100 bucks on a headlight switch.
