Could a belt slip be a reason why my alternator isn't charging my battery? I just fixed the whining, but I didn't know if that would help. I won't get to drive it until tomarrow.

Anything that degrades the performance of the alternator can cause an inadequate charge. Under normal situations, the belt slip would have to be significant, but if you are operating under situations where the load on the system is heavy (running the blower motor a lot, driving at night, etc), the drain could exceed the alternator's output.Mike
2001 Camaro
Light Pewter Metallic Convertible
AU0,A31,C60,DG7,F41,GU6,K34,L36,M30,T82,T96,UN0
If it can\'t be expressed in figures, it is not science; it is opinion.
