Proprietary Spark Plugs?

I have a 1999 Camaro, and I tried to change my spark plugs today (misfiring and whatnot).

There are 3 spark plug assemblies. There are two spark plugs per assembly, and they are one whole piece. There is no way to remove the actual plugs from the assembly, and I'm a little bewildered on what to do from here. The only part of the plugs that are exposed are the places where the plugs fit on, and I'm unable to see anything else. The three assemblies sit on a larger object that had a label saying "BHH 00003944," or something very similar. When unbolting the assemblies from the larger object, there is no place for me to screw any new spark plugs in.

Nobody seems to mention these things in the spark plug changing post, so I'm wondering what the hell is this? Is this normal? I'll take pictures if you guys want them (I'm not sure if my description was very good), I'm hoping this is normal though.

Are you talking about these (picture from another car, but they look the same)? http://www.inct.net/~autotips/coils.jpg
If you are, those are the coil packs. That's the end that sends the signals to the wires, to the plugs. And the wires just pop off of them. If you're having trouble like that, I'd recommend picking up a Haynes manual. If I'm completely off the ball, I'm sorry. Please clue me in on what you're having trouble with

You hit it on the nose, haha. I was completely clueless... I was looking at those things thinking, "Well... they have the spark plug looking connectors..." But yes, I was looking at completely the wrong thing. I guess the next question should be, where exactly do I find the spark plugs? (Please excuse my noobness)

Follow the spark plug wires and you'll find the other ends on top of the actual plugs.

We use a distributor-less ignition system, or DIS.

The plugs are in the engine, three on each side between the tubes on the exhaust manifold (if you have a 2000 or newer). I really recommend you getting a repair manual so you make sure you do this right
