straiten out a coat hanger, slid it through the window, and hit the unlock button assuming you have power windows.

yes, you need something wedge like to pry open the window a little without damaging the molding. Then get a coathanger in there and pull the lock switch back.

materials needed

-1 flathead screwdriver
-one whatever screwdriver
-straight sitck(thinner then screwdriver handle. yard stick?)
-screw

Put screw in end of stick at a right angle

Then use one flathead, to pry the window away fromthe roof, then stick the other screwdriver handle in between the roof and the window to hold itopen, then put the flathead handle in there too and slide it to the side to make a decent sized ga p along the top.

use the stick with a screw on the end to go in the window, then use the screw to hit the slide on the lock and slide it over.

then take the screwdrivers out and open the door.

i dont think you can unlock from the inside of a locked car.. you need to pull the switch back. How about trying to pop the trunk button.. if you have crank windows just push it down a little. if its easier use a coat hanger or something like it to unroll the window... or if the keys are in the ignition, try turning the key forward, then pressing the window roll down button if its power windows

Huh?

Are you saying if you lock the car when you're inside it, you can't unlock it?

I think he is talking autolocks...

I know the rear hatch disables after the car being off for awhile.

Just do what I said works quickly and easily. I did the "crank a window down thing" before but that was because I only had a metal pole at the time.

Listen, this is what i would try to do... using a coat hanger, go in from the back of the window. Slide your fingers in between the back of the window and the weather stripping and gently pull out a little bit, just enough to give yourself some room to work one end(bent to form a closed hook) of the coat hanger to push the unlock button of the power lock switch on the door.
I locked my keys in the 'Maro last summer and this was how i got into my car to retrieve my keys! I tried going in from the top but i was afraid of screwing up the weather stripping. So, try going in from the back with a coat hanger(i think i had to use two in order to reach).
You will find this technique makes it kind of easy to break into a Camaro. Yeah, it scares me too... but i guess that is why the alarm is there. Hopefully, whatever the criminal is trying to get at takes them longer than the 5 seconds(or whatever it is) until the alarm goes off.
Hey, good luck!

I can say my method works, done it twice on my 94, 1-2 times on my 3rd gen and easily 6-7 times at this guys 3rd gen at my work.

I have seen people at the track pry the window so far back they reached and got the lock with there hand

close, camaroKrazed...

my keys were in ignition, just before start

I don't have power locks, but i have power windows (the motors need to be cleaned), and someone helped me push the passenger side window button down with an antenna, from the driver side, and i got in from the passenger's side.
