  • new wires---ghetto heat solution?

Put new bosch +4 plugs in and new bosch 7.5 mm wires today. Afterwards, I put on this black plastic spiral sheathing from Advance Auto over the 3 wires that cross over and more or less "sit" on the engine. It covers them completely. I'm just hoping the plastic doesn't melt. Any other things I could put over them to prevent premature wear-out?

Oh, and the car is running smoooooth now....ahhh :D

I've had Bosch wires (& plus 4's) on my blazer about 3yrs now w/o any signs of wearing out.

Agreed, it doesn't do crap to protect your wires from the manifolds... The ENGINE itself it should be fine, but the Manifolds will SMELT them...
