  • Maybe bad EGR valve?

Would a bad EGR valve cause a inconsistant idle and also cause a chugging while cruising? Just trying out every possibility to fix my problem.
Also, can I just try cleaning it instead of replacing it because it is not a cheap part.

Thanks in advance for the info.

yes it will cause those problems, you can try cleaning it with carb cleaner and as long as the valve inside isn't just worn out it will fix the problem
