  • Part number for Gatorback short belt?

Autozone has the same part number for a/c and no a/c belt and it's the ac belt. Does anyone have the short Gatorback belt? Do they even exist?

Yeah, they definitely exist. I used to run one. Now, I removed the AC Compressor and put in the GM pulley and bracket for 3.4s without AC. I think that the shotened belt to bypass the AC is a 67.0" belt.

I guess I could measure my short belt, but I don't think that would help Autozone. They just see part numbers on that computer of theirs not length. I could go with my existing brand, but I wanted to try something better. This is for a 3.8 BTW.

the last 3 numbers of the part number is the belt length. For instance, a 670 is a 67.0" belt and a 875 is a 87.5" belt. That is how you figure out the length on the belts very easily.

Thanks man! That's some very good info.

My belt # is 610K6. What length would that equal to so I can find the right size for the Gatorback one?

That is a 61.0", 6 rib belt. That is a Kelly-Springfield number. The first three numbers are the length, the K denotes a ribbed belt and the number after the K is the number of ribs.

610K6 could be several belt company's part number, including Dayco.

True, but either way, it's a 61.0" 6 rib belt.
