I bought a remote for my 94 camaro.Started to program it by jumping the leads in the ALDL and nothing happened. Then I tried to pull any trouble codes with a cheap jumper and again nothing happened.I'm thinking maybe one of my leads is broken or something.I know the top right lead is ground. Does anyone know if the other leads are supposed to have any voltage I can measure with a meter? If not would 1 of you put a meter on yours and tell me if you can measure any voltate? I'd like to get this corrected. Thanks.

yup its terminals G and A on the ALDL. That would be the top right "G" (ground) and the bottom left A, which goes to the box behind the pass. kick panel that controls the remote entry. Jump them and it should work.
HBHracing is right you won't be able to do the jumper trick to receive codes. You'll need a scan tool. Dealership wants $100 to read those codes which is ridculous. I'm going to buy a used scan tool to retrieve my codes.
You're right, most manuals will tell you to jump it, Haynes does, but they're wrong. Let me know if you want info on volts, I'd be interested to see if your ALDL is wired the same as mine too.
I put keyless entry, and power locks on my car (all stock components) last October so if you need some help shoot me an email.1994 Arctic white, 3.4l, 5spd

http://www.cardomain.com/id/montytrmpt
