oil leak WTF!!!

ok i changed the oil pressure sensor the other day ever since its been leaking n i made sure it was as tight as i could get it looked at the oil leak where it's dripping its coming from the oil filter again wtf is it ??? is it a bad sensor seal or a bad filter/ seal :mad: or something worse

When you install your oil filters do you moisten/lube the ring with fresh oil?

If not, dip your finger in some of the new oil and run it around the ring till its moistened and hand tighten the filter down pretty good (DON'T use an oil filter wrench to tighten it down).

Could also be oil pan gasket or the pressure sending unit.

yes we did moisten the ring why wouldnt u use a wrench to tighten it ? its not near the gasket where is the pressure sending unit ?

I'm talking about the oil filter...not the pressure sending unit.

Did you use teflon tape on the sending unit when you installed it? If not, it may leak.

And the filter should only be tightened by hand, pretty much as tight as you can get it w/o using a wrench.
