never had this problem before, now whenever I floor it the whole car shakes and shudders and feels like it's gonna fall apart. It's worse when turning a corner but does it from a stop straight ahead also. It is a 2002 but I have 79,000 miles so stuff is bound to be wearing out, but I'm not sure what it is. Maybe shocks? they don't seem to be bad, but I dunno.
Ok, any help is appreciated, thanks
this should be in suspension BTW. if its wheel hop then its your LCA bushings going bad, thats if its a new problem. but new LCAs would fix wheel hop all together :D
My rear hops from launches. My shocks are blown,i'm saving for new ones.

Its official you are clueless. Wheel hop can occur for a number of reasons. Not necassarily your LCA bushing going bad but they may not be able to support your hp/traction ratio. In other words, too much pushin' without enough cushion ;) Get some new LCA's regardless of what the cause of the wheel hop is. 90% this will fix the problem. Don't buy new bushings and don't buy a stock replacement. Get a good aftermarket set of LCA's with the relocation brackets and you shouldn't have anymore problems. I went from wheel hop that was visible by people in the stands at the drag strip to zero wheel hope regardless of what I do with hotchkis LCA's and PHR.

Just because you can repeat what you read from another thread doesn't make you compatent. As for agree with you as to how to fix the problem. Nah, you can get stock replacements or just replace the bushings and there is a good chance the wheel hop would still occur.

95% of your posts are either information that you read somewhere else that partially applies to the problem, a free post, something completely wrong or an answer so vague that it can't be used for help by the thread starter.

Alright back on topic now It might not be your lower control arms needing to be upgraded, but that is often an easy fix. From your somewhat vague post, it very well could be the tranny mount as well like Josh said. If there's no "shudder" right under you, then it's prolly not the tranny mount.
<a href=\"http://www.fullthrottlev6.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.fullthrottlev6.com</a> THE SOURCE!
Also if its the tranny mount and you happen to have a manual you can visibly see the shifter travel during hard accel or decel (an inch or more). I replaced both tranny and torque arm bushings and it didn't effect wheel hop any but it did stiffen the car up over all. I believe (could be wrong) that the tranny mount has nothing at all to do with wheel hop. It doesn't hold the rear end in place however it does hold everything in the middle to front of your drivetrain in place ;) so like matt says if you do feel the "Shuddering" under you then that may be someone you'll want to look into however that isn't wheelhop.

It isn't shuddering it's like the whole car is bouncing... hard
I have an auto btw
I will search for those LCA's and see how much that will set me back.
Thanks for the replies
   Now I think I might have a bad tranny mount bc sometimes the car kinda bounces and yeah it feels like its from under me and if I keep my hand on the shift knob I can feel it move when I press or release the throttle. It bounces around while I'm driving too but I think everyones does that...
