My car is leaking a tiny bit of oil.Is this comman? Catostrafic?

Well, If you have abuot 50-60K miles on your car, check your rear main seal. I had the same thing, and it turned out to be the valve cover gaskets. Lucky for me, I'm finishing the other gasket tomorrow. Where do you see the oil? Is it around the dust cover, or more towards the exhaust manifolds? My leak wasn't bad either, but it dripped on the exhaust, and the smell drove me insane. No the oil spot was on the ground.I did not switch to syntehtic but I added in an oil treatment.Comment
